He was a child laborer who turned into a university-graduate. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership for Social change from kanthari International Leadership training institute, Kerala-India and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Diplomacy with Information Technology from Maseno, University Kenya.
One month after joining high school he lost his dad. Seven months later his grandfather was killed on allegations of witchcraft. Being the oldest in his family, he became the bread winner, at the age of 16. Like many children of his community, 60% of Kilifi County are school-drop-outs.
Henry is involved in different campaigns and social charities as a volunteer and ambassador. He is also one of the founding members and current Chairperson of Bamba Ward University Students Association (BWUSA). An association that they founded in 2013 together with other 13 university students from his ward to have a strong voice to fight the unfair allocations of bursary from their Constituency Development Fund (CDF) office-Ganze and offer mentor-ship programs to students from his region.
Henry was on February 2018 appointed as the Ward Ambassador to represent Bamba ward in Youth Senate Kenya (YSK).
