Learning Digital Skills

On the 7th April 2018, our founder, Henry Mkare attended a training on Google Digital Skills organize by Google Digital skills for Africa at Swahili Pot, Mombasa, Kenya. After successful completion of the training he was awarded a certificate on Google Digital Skills. The training was facilitated by Ruth Kaveke, a Certified Google Trainer and also the Executive Director of Pwani Technowgalz. (A community based organization that is determined to inspire and drive the next generation of girls in Mombasa to venture in STEM careers).

His motivation to enroll for the training was to equip him with Digital skills that he will pass on to Kickstart Kilifi’s beneficiaries as part of the skills training program under Kickstart Kilifi. He also extended an invitation to Ruth Kaveke to come to Kilifi County and offer her skills to out-of-school youths and be a role model especially to young girls and women, that women can also be computer experts, an invitation which Ruth accepted.
