We celebrated our Easter with out-of-school youths in Ganze. We had an interactive and inspirational Day at Ganze, During the Kilifi County Form Four Leavers Forum dubbed “After KCSE, what Next???” It is a 7 weeks series of talks and exchange of ideas across the 7 sub-counties of Kilifi County with form four levers (grade 12), school drop outs and other-out-of school youths, where we listen to their challenges and walk them through various available opportunities for them. In short there are opportunities for each one of us and failing in National examinations should not be seen an end to one’s dream.
However we realized that most youths in the rural areas lack basic computer skills and most of the available opportunities their applications are done online thus locking out most of the rural youths. To address this we agreed to source for support to have a community owned ICT training center that will be offering basic computer skills and digital skills to our youths, thus opening door for more opportunities.
